For those who enjoy seeing wild animals in their natural surroundings, but whose weapon of choice is a camera for the taking of trophies, CazaPampa offers guided photo safaris at its La Mota ranch. Hunting with a camera is becoming more and more popular as more people want to hunt big game, but capture their trophies in photographs or on video. The appeal of this activity lies in the fact that it combines the challenges and skills required for hunting big game with photography. And with 14 different species of big game and many other native species of birds and animals on the ranch there is a never ending supply of challenges for the photographer.

Introduced by the Spanish in the early 1500's, the horse is one of the most distinctive animals of the Argentine pampas. It has shared a close association with the peoples of the pampas throughout modern history and is central to the customs and culture of the people still living there. The gaucho, or "field man", is nothing without his horse. Horseback riding is an activity that will connect our guests with the gaucho culture and allow them to enjoy getting close to nature on an animal of extraordinary beauty, nobility and gentleness.

Without a doubt when one thinks of the food of Argentina the first thing that comes to mind is great beef. Argentina is recognized throughout the world for its high quality beef and people come from around the world to enjoy it in restaurants throughout the country.

Within the gaucho culture the main meal, which almost always includes beef, is normally preceded by meat pies called "empanadas". Thought to have originated in Spain the name comes from the Spanish "Empanar" or "to bake in a pastry". They are usually small single-serving turnover style pastries with a filling of sweet or spicy meat and vegetables.
